Community Service

As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace. 1 Peter 4:10

On the first Friday of each month following Mass, classes are suspended so that students may perform acts of community service.  In the 2016/2017 school year, we will serve organizations including Catholic Charities, Ronald McDonald House, South End Cafe, Reilly House, and the Hudson-Mohawk Humane Society.

In addition to our monthly service to our community, we collect food for the poor.  Collected items are donated to our Parish St. Vincent De Paul Society and other local food patries in need.  Donations may be left on the food pantry donation table in the school lobby.  We will collect food as follows:

September:  pasta
October:   soup
November: canned vegetables
December:  lunch items (peanut butter and jelly, macaroni and cheese, etc.)
January:  personal hygiene items (shampoo, deodorant, etc.)
February:  breakfast foods
March:  juice
April:  baby food
May:  snacks
June:  potpourri (any items)
